Beyush Dewakuku (b. 1991) is a niece of noted potter Jacob Koopee.  She learned to make pottery from Jacob. This canteen is coil built and stone polished.  There are corn plant designs on the necks and hand designs around the body of the wedding vase.   There is an additional design on the handle.  The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Beyush Dewakuku”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
