Jason Ebelacker is a son of Richard Ebelacker, a grandson of Virginia Ebelacker and a great-grandson of Margaret Tafoya.  Jason is known for his traditional pottery shapes.  This jar has a classic water jar form with the low shoulder and slightly turned out rim. It is deeply carved with a swirling cloud pattern which extends from the rim to the sharp shoulder. The carving is deep and the jar is fully polished.   The entire piece has to polished at one time and it has a high shine and great angle of reflection from the shape.   Jason is certainly one of the younger potters to watch!
