Mary Louise Eckleberry (1921-2003) was a daughter of Christina Naranjo and the mother of Victor Eckleberry.  This bowl is coil-built and carved with 20 melon ribs.  Each rib is rounded out and fully stone-polished.  The bowl was traditionally fired a glassy black.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Mary Eckelberry”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
