Paula Estevan is known for her thin-walled coil-built pottery.  This jar is very tightly painted with an “op-art” yucca leaf pattern.  Each of the leaves is swirling down from the rim to the base.  They get larger and smaller, in accordance with the shape of the jar.  The yucca leaf is the plant used to paint the designs on the pottery.  The jar has a wide shoulder and just a slight neck.  Paula has a wonderful ability to match the shape and designs of her work perfectly!  The jar is signed on the bottom, “P. Estevan”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repairs.
