This is a classic Santa Clara water jar Jody Folwell.  This jar is an elegant shape with a round shoulder and turned-out rim. The entire piece is fully polished and fired a dark black.  Jody etched a very modernist-style rain and cloud pattern into the shoulder of the jar after the firing.  Note the deep and bold lines of the etching!  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Jody”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
