Polly Rose Folwell is a daughter of Jody Folwell and a sister of Susan Folwell.  She is known for their use of classic designs on her traditional-inspired Santa Clara pottery. This jar is coil-built and thin-walled.  It is fully polished and has a wide shoulder and asymmetric rim.  The jar has a feather pattern etched to the clay around the top of the shoulder.  Below the feathers are cloud and rain designs.  It is an intricate and detailed design.  The jar was fired a brown coloration, which is striking in person.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Polly Rose”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
