Susan Folwell continues to combine classic imagery with her own contemporary style of shape and design.  She has long used “pop art” and social commentary as a foundation for her pottery designs.  This piece is part of her “cell phone” tile series, where the tile is carved to look like a cell phone with an indented “home” button.  This piece is entitled “I Love Taos” with the reflections of the Pueblo in the girl’s glasses.  The Pueblo of Taos is in the distance along with rain clouds.  It comes with a stand as seen in the photos.  It is signed on the back, “Folwell”.
