This is a small jar by Susan Folwell.  She is one of the exciting innovators in Pueblo pottery.  This jar has incised and polished feathers around the neck.  Around the body, it is painted with four butterflies.  The jar was traditionally fired to create the coloration on the surface.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Susan Folwell”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
