This is a polished jar by Susan Folwell.  She is one of the exciting innovators in Pueblo pottery.  This jar is polished red and has six horses etched into the clay.  Two are painted black.  They are surrounded by star designs and the Folwell family “x’s”. The neck has a mountain design along with stars.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Susan Folwell”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
