Susan Folwell continues to combine classic imagery with her own contemporary style of shape and design. This seedpot is fully polished and fired brown in coloration. Half it etched with the Folwell family “x’s”, or stars.  The other side has cloud, wave, and water designs. The colorations are striking from the firing.  Note as well the various depths of etching of the designs.  It is signed on the botteom in the clay, “Susan Folwell”.  Susan’s pottery is meant to not only connect with us visually but also through touch and at times it is meant to make us think.
