Fragua, Glendora – Red and Tan Jar with Lizard and Turquoise

Glendora Fragua is known for her polished and intricately incised pottery.  This piece is polished red on the bottom and tan on the top. There is a lizard etched into the clay, along with sand, mountain, and flower designs.  The designs are accented with red clay. There is a single inset piece of turquoise in the back of the lizard.  The bottom is fully polished red.  The piece is signed on the bottom with a corn stalk, Glendora’s hallmark.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
