Glendora Fragua is known for her polished and intricately incised pottery.  This piece is slipped red and then etched. There is a sun design in the center with an elaborate feather headdress. There are additional red, black, and white clay slips used to accentuate the designs. Surrounding the sun are clouds and flower designs.  The jar has an asymmetric rim.  The piece is signed on the bottom with a corn stalk, Glendora’s hallmark.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
