Glendora Fragua is known for her polished and intricately incised pottery.  This piece is slipped red and then etched. There is a sun design on the top surrounded by flowers.  The designs are etched into the clay and then highlighted with various colors of additional clay slips.  There is a single inset piece of malachite added after the firing.  The piece is signed on the bottom with a corn stalk, Glendora’s hallmark.
