Rebecca Gachupin (b. 1955) is a daughter of Andrea Tsosie and a sister of Irene Herrera and Joanne Toribio. She began making pottery around 1987.  This is a pair of miniature traditional style Zia vessels.  The small wedding vase has a Zia bird on each side.  The sides are painted with a rain design.  The red is stone polished.  The bowl has birds on each side and red polished clouds separating the birds.  Both are traditionally fired.  Each is signed on the bottom, “R. Gachupin”.
