This bowl by Gloria Garcia is fully polished and fired black. The designs are etched into the clay.  There are eight Mimbres style fish as the design.  Each fish is different.  There are a group of five “trout” with circular designs highlighted in red.  The other three fish are larger and remain black.  Gloria’s combination of polishing and etched designs is always striking.  This piece is signed on the bottom with her Tewa name “GoldenRod”.
