Gloria Garcia is known by her Tewa name, “Golden Rod”. This bowl is coil-built, stone polished, and fired black. It is etched around the shoulder with seven wolves. They are running, standing, and howling at the moon. The wolf that is howling is in front of a red colored moon. The red is an additional clay slip. They are each intricately designed and she is able to capture a distinctive sense of motion. It is signed on the bottom with her Tewa name “GoldenRod”.
