This is one of the largest pieces we have had by Gloria Garcia.  The bowl is fully polished and fired red.  It is etched with clouds around the rim.  Around the shoulder are seven mountain goats.  They are realistically depicted and etched into the clay.  There is a rain and plant design etched in a band into the background. The bowl was fired a deep red coloration.  There are blue and white clay slips used to highlight the fur and designs. Gloria’s combination of polishing and etched designs is always striking.  This piece is signed on the bottom with her Tewa name “GoldenRod”.
