This seedpot by Gloria Garcia is fully polished and fired red. The piece is etched with a large mustang realistically depicted. The Mustang is rearing backward, and note in front is a tiny ground squirrel darting in front of the Mustang! There is a single inset piece of turquoise on the seedpot, and it is rounded by ripples as if it were a stone dropped into water. The area behind the horse’s tail is highlighted with white clay. Gloria’s combination of polishing and etched designs is always striking. This piece is signed on the bottom with her Tewa name “GoldenRod”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
