Myron Garcia (d. 2005), Acoma, was the son of Josephine Garcia and was married to Carletta Garcia. This jar is coil-built from native clay. It is creatively painted with bee-weed and clay slips. There are stylized roadrunners, hummingbirds, and parrots in the design. They are surrounded by flowers and plant designs. Along the rim are mountain and rain patterns. The jar is signed, “Myron Garcia,” and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
