Virginia Garcia is a sister of noted potters Tina Garcia and Greg Garcia.  While she no longer makes pottery, much like her siblings, she was known for her traditional forms and creative firings.  This jar has a round shape and a short neck.  There are three bear paws impressed into the clay before the piece was polished.  It was polished red and then fired a deep red coloration.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, ‘Virginia Garcia”.
