$ 875.00

Larson Goldtooth (b. 1971) is a cousin of Mark Tahbo, who taught him to make pottery.  He has become well-known for his clay figures.  Each piece is made from native clay, coil-built, stone polished, and painted with clay slips and bee-weed (black).  Each figure is distinctive in form and style.  This figure has a shirt painted with flowers and moccasins.  Note how the face is carved around the edges.  The piece was traditionally fired to create the blushes on the surface.  It is signed, “Larson” and a pipe for Tobacco Clan.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
