This plate by John Gonzales is from 2000.  John was well known for his plate and their intricate designs.  This plate matte red central medallion and a red rim and back. The central medallion is surrounded by four sections of 16 feathers (for a total of 64).  Separating each group are 16 are separated by lightning designs.  There is a band of turquoise hei-shi beads around the central red medallion and near the edge.  The background behind the etched designs is a micaceous clay slip.  The plate is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the back, “John Gonzales”.
