Denny Gutierrez was known for his faceted melon bowls.  However, he also created exceptional painted vessels. This bowl has a sharp shoulder and is highly polished.  There are 44 feathers painted onto the polished surface. Note how they are painted at a slight angle.  Along the neck are small painted clouds, mountains, and sun designs.  The bowl is polished to a glossy shine.  It is from 1987.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Denny Gutierrez”.
