Denny Gutierrez was known for his faceted melon bowls. However, he also created exceptional painted vessels. This jar has a round shoulder and there are 29 feathers painted on the shoulder. Below the shoulder lightning patterns. Note how the feathers are painted at a slight angle. The jar is polished to a glossy shine. It is from 1991. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Denny Gutierrez”.
