Dolorita Gutierrez was a daughter of noted potter Pasqualita Gutierrez and a niece of Sara Fina Tafoya.  This is a charming piece of her pottery created in a very functional style from the 1950’s. The pitcher is fully polished and painted with a cloud pattern on both sides.  The inside of the rim and the handle are also polished.  The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dolorita” and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
