Geraldine Gutierrez is a daughter of noted potter Helen Gutierrez.  Geraldine is known for her use of traditional pottery designs.  This wide bowl is fully polished and painted with 16 feathers encircling the shoulder.  Note how there are two dots of red at the end of each feather!  It was traditionally fired red.  The bowl is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Geraldine Gutierrez”.
