Geraldine Gutierrez is a daughter of noted potter Helen Gutierrez. Geraldine is known for her use of traditional pottery designs. This jar is fully polished and painted with two sections of eight feathers. On the top end of each feather is a dot of red clay. The feathers are separated by mesa and cloud designs. It was traditionally fired red. The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Geraldine Gutierrez”.
