Geraldine Gutierrez is a daughter of noted potter Helen Gutierrez.  Geraldine is known for her use of traditional pottery designs.  This jar is fully polished and painted with 16 feathers encircling the shoulder.  Above the feathers is a cloud and rain design.  It was traditionally fired red.  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Geraldine Gutierrez”.
