Julie Gutierrez (b. 1965) began making pottery in 1977. She is a daughter of Victoria Gutierrez and a granddaughter of Faustina Gutierrez. She is a sister of Effie Garcia and Sally M. Gutierrez. Her brother was Eugene Gutierrez. This seedpot was coil-built, stone-polished, and fired a glassy black. It is etched with flowers, and each is two-toned sienna. In the center of each flower is an inset piece of turquoise. The opening on top has a feather pattern. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
