Julie Gutierrez (b. 1965) began making pottery in 1977.  She is a daughter of Victoria Gutierrez and a granddaughter of Faustina Gutierrez.  She is a sister of Effie Garcia and Sally M. Gutierrez.  Her brother was Eugene Gutierrez.  This seedpot was coil-built, stone polished, and fired a glassy black.  It is etched with flowers as the design on each side.  It is  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed, “Julie Gutierrez”.
