Gutierrez, Kathy – Red Water Jar with Lightning and Rain Designs

Kathy Gutierrez is a daughter of noted potter Helen Gutierrez and a sister of Geraldine Gutierrez, Carol, and Rose Gutierrez.  This is a classic water jar shape with a round shoulder and elongated neck.  Around the neck of the jar is painted buff-on-red.  There are rain, clouds, and lightning designs.  The jar was fired red.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “Kathy N. Gutierrez”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
