Mary Gutierrez (1941-2018) was a sister of Joe Talachy and Stella Tanner.  She was known for her miniature pottery.  This piece is coil-bulit, stone polished, and etched. The design is a tiny bee and flowers.  There is a single inset piece of turquoise as part of the design.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Mary Gutierrez”.  She primarily made pottery in the 1980s and this is only the second piece we have had of her work in years.
