Andrew Harvier and Judy Harvier work together under the name “Nana Kaa,” which means Aspen Leaves in Tewa. Judy is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie. This is one of their clay beaver figures. It is made from native clay and fully polished. There is a sgraffito bear paw on the tail with an inset piece of turquoise. It was fired a glassy black coloration. The piece is from 1996 and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed “Nana Kaa” on the bottom.

Andrew Harvier and Judy Harvier work together under the name “Nana Kaa,” which means Aspen Leaves in Tewa. Judy is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie. This is one of their clay bear fetish figures. It is made from native clay and fully polished. Andrew etches the designs into the clay. Note the angle and depth of the design work! The bear is fully polished and fired a glassy black. Only the eyes and ears are etched into the clay. The piece is from 1994 and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed “Nana Kaa” on the bottom.

Andrew Harvier and Judy Harvier work together on their pottery. It is signed "NaNa Ka", which translates as "Aspen Leaves" in the Tewa language. Andrew is a son of Andrita Harvier and a grandson of Marina Naranjo. He is a nephew of Pula Gutierrez. Judy Harvier is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie and a niece of Lois Gutierrez, Gloria Garcia, Thelma Talachy, and Minnie Vigil.
