$ 1,000.00

Andrew Harvier and Judy Harvier work together under the name “Nana Kaa”, which means Aspen Leaves in Tewa.  Judy is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie. This is a larger piece of their pottery.  It is thin-walled and was made and polished by Judy.  The jar has a cylinder shape with tall sides.  There is a corn plant etched on one side.  Note how it is etched in various layers and has a rain design in the matte area.  The opposite side has a Corn Maiden figure with a single inset piece of turquoise.  The large stone is inset into the clay.  It was traditionally fired a deep red coloration.  The piece is from the 1990s and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed, “Nana Kaa” on the bottom.
