Andrew Harvier and Judy Harvier work together under the name “Nana Kaa”, which means Aspen Leaves in Tewa. Judy is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie. This small jar is made from micaceous clay. It is deeply carved with 24 symmetrical sharp melon ribs. The bottom half of the jar is plain. It was traditionally fired to create slight color variations on the surface. It is from 1994. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed, “Nana Kaa” on the bottom.
