Andrew Harvier and Judy Harvier work together under the name “Nana Kaa”, which means Aspen Leaves in Tewa. Judy is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie. This bowl was made by Judy and it is thin-walled, symmetrical in form, and highly polished. It has a triangular cloud design etched into the clay around the shoulder of the bowl. It is a simple but precise design. The bowl is highly polished and fired a deep black coloration. The piece is from the 1990s and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed, “Nana Kaa” on the bottom.

Andrew is a son of Andrita Harvier and a grandson of Marina Naranjo. He is a nephew of Pula Gutierrez. Judy Harvier is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie and a niece of Lois Gutierrez, Gloria Garcia, Thelma Talachy, and Minnie Vigil.
