Andrew Harvier and Judy Harvier work together under the name “Nana Kaa”, which means Aspen Leaves in Tewa. Judy is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie. This jar has a round body and a square neck. It is slipped with mica and fired black. There is a star pattern etched into the clay and then a single piece of inset turquoise. It was made in 1994. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed, “Nana Kaa” on the bottom.

Andrew is a son of Andrita Harvier and a grandson of Marina Naranjo. He is a nephew of Pula Gutierrez. Judy Harvier is a sister of noted potter Debra Duwyenie and a niece of Lois Gutierrez, Gloria Garcia, Thelma Talachy, and Minnie Vigil.
