This is an early black-and-sienna bowl by Art Cody Haungooah. The piece is fully polished and fired black. There is a central medallion on one side. The design is a Mimbres quail with a star in the center. It is surrounded by triangular clouds and then more deeply incised lines. The lines are rounded and a more complicated style. The medallion is highlighted black-and-sienna. The remainder is highly polished black. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Haungooah”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
