This jar by Art Cody Haungooah is from 1981. The work from this period is complex in design. The top of the jar is etched with an avanyu, flute player, and sun. It’s interesting how Art portrayed the flute player playing to the avanyu! The detail on the piece is exceptional. The jar was fired black and then the top half was two-toned sienna. It is signed, “Art Haungooah” and a flute player (which is the cypher for 1981). It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
