This jar is by Robert Allen Homer. He is a Zia and Hopi, and is a son of Marie Moquino and a nephew of Corn Moquino. It is Corn Moquino (Santa Clara), who taught him to make pottery. This piece is coil-built, stone polished, fired, and etched with design. There is an eagle on the piece with its wings extended across the top of the seedpot. In front of the eagle is a kiva and kiva ladder. The eagle is two-toned sienna. It is signed, “RH”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
