Antoinette Silas-Honie is a daughter of noted potter Roberta Silas. This large storage jar is coil built with a round body and a slightly turned out rim. The entire surface is fully stone-polished. The jar is painted with bee-weed and red lay slip.  There are large geometric Hopi-style birds that create the design. The birds are separated by bands of Hopi designs. It is signed on the bottom, “Antoinette Sila”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
