14.5" long x 5.25"w

$ 300.00

Michael Kanteena is known for his pottery inspired by Chaco, Mesa Verde, and other Ancestral Pueblo pottery.  This ladle has a long handle with a bird at the end. There is a bird painted on the handle.  In the ladle is a quail with a corn stalk and a sun design.  Below the quail are four small antelope.  Michael creates a striking style for his pottery with contemporary forms yet giving them the appearance of the ancient.  Micheal will often use techniques, such as sandpaper, to give the surface and painting an “aged” appearance.  The piece is signed, “Michael Kanteena”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
