$ 400.00

Miranda Leno (b. 1960) is a daughter of Lloyd Aragon.  She is a sister-in-law to Regina Leno-Shutiva, who taught her how to make pottery.  She began making pottery in 1993.  This jar is made from native clay and it is painted with bee-weed and clay slips.  The jar has a rain pattern around the neck.  There are two large medallions, each with a classic Acoma Parrot.  The remainder of the jar is fully painted with interlocking fine-line stars.  The piece is signed, “M Leno”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
