Regina Leno-Shutiva (b. 1955) is a great-granddaughter of Eulilia Vallo, a granddaughter of Lupita Vallo, and a daughter of Juana Leno.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  This wedding vase certainly has the shape of her mother’s vessels!  It is coil built and thin-walled. The piece is painted with bee-weed (black).  It has a medallion on each side with a feather motif.  Separating them are fine-line patterns with interlocking stars.  The handle is twisted and slipped red. The wedding vase is signed, “RLS”.
