Dolores Lewis is a daughter of renowned potter Lucy M. Lewis.  Dolores is known for use of classic Acoma and Mimbres designs in her pottery.  This is a small plate or it might have been made as a pendant. There are two small holes at the top.  The design has three Mimbress style deer on the front.  The piece is signed on the back, “Dolores Lewis” and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  While Dolores makes little pottery today, work remains some of the classic traditional pottery of Acoma pueblo.
