$ 600.00

Emma Lewis was a daughter of noted potter Lucy M. Lewis.  This is a large bowl that is painted with Mimbres designs.  Lucy Lewis, and her daughters, began using Mimbres imagery in the pottery in the 1960s.  This bowl has four large Mimbres lizards as the design.  They are each tightly painted using bee-weed (a plant).  Around the rim is a leaf design.  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Emma Lewis”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
