Emma Lewis was a daughter of noted potter Lucy M. Lewis.  This is one of her classic seed bowls  It is coil-built and painted with bee-weed. There are five large rain clouds painted on the top shoulder of the piece.  It is signed, “Emma Lewis”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
