Eric Lewis is known for his creatively painted Acoam pottery.  This jar is coil-built and fully painted. The entire piece is covered with swirling birds and clouds.  It is thin-walled, and the strong graphics on Eric’s pottery give them a modernist appearance. However, looking closer, you can see a variety of traditional designs that he has used, all based on traditional Acoma patterns. The jar is signed, “Eric Lewis”.
