This is a large round bodied jar by Eric Lewis.  The shape has a narrow base and a very round shoulder with just a slight lip.  Eric said that he wanted to try a different design style and so this piece has a single line which spirals and swirls across the surface of the piece.  There is a very contemporary feel to the jar and yet, the same sophistication of traditional Acoma pottery.  Eric’s bold painting works perfectly on this delicate form.   His innovative designs make him a younger potter to watch!
