Diane Lewis-Garcia is known for her tightly painted miniature pottery.  This is one of her few plates. The piece is made from native clay and painted with clay slips.  There are four medallions, each with a different image.  There is a Mimbres hummingbird, crane and fish, quail, and parrot. The rim of the plate is painted with a cloud pattern. It is a colorful and striking piece.  It is signed on the back, “D. Lewis”.
